More an ancillary point, but one thing that really stood out about Codina was her reactions after the 2 goals she scored for us last season. They were goals in games we already we were winning easily but she celebrated them like she'd just scored the winner in the Champions League final. Not a bad thing at all (no celebration policing here). It's kind of endearing a player who we wouldn't call "young" gets such a childlike thrill on the rare occasions she scores.

Good analysis of the CB turnover last season. Lotte's progress was the highlight.

I agree that continuity rather than further imports will be best and that with emergence of Katie Reid and Teyah Goldie's return to health we shouldn't have the need to go shopping for CBs.

Yet again, I agree with all of that fine analysis.

Defensively, what we have in place, barring injuries, looks very good from what you say.

Going off piste for a moment I read, I think from ESPN, that Arsenal Women should be looking in the direction of a 24 year old american called Emily Sams? Can't discover what foot she prefers but what do you think?

You’re right that the article you saw was in ESPN. I think she’s a talent out of FSU’s strong women’s soccer program when she’s healthy, but has missed quite a bit of play over the years with back-to-back ACLs. Orlando Pride are currently killing it in the NWSL (unbeaten this season so far with 14 matches played), so even if a move was on offer would she want to go?
