Victoria is one of the best players I have seen. A joy to watch.

Pelova is so fun to watch. There’s a real dynamism in her play. I don’t think we’ve seen the best of her yet. Still another level in her game to come and I’m here for it!

It's notable when she asks for the ball off the back 3/4, they don't seem to have any issue passing to her, even if she's got an opposition player on her back. She can be pinned in by 2 players and I'm still surprised if she ends up losing the ball.

Her technical ability is unreal. Joie de vivre personified.

I think I remember DVD said Pelova is just like her but without the overt aggression. she is a joy to watch, just like DVD.

Bright, intelligent, funny, feisty......also on the way to being a wordclass 'baller. What with Pav, KCC, Frlda, Ke and some brilliant looking academy talent any fears I had about replacing Kim and Lia have been dispelled.

I wanted us to kidnap her when we went to Ajax. Same match where she created problems for Kimmy, which doesn't happen much. So glad to see she's being played in midfield now. My mum (83) cause her the dinky one whose really good.

Feeling really smug right now that she's the one I chose to go on my back this season!

Great and informative article as always. Tim.

She was an interesting player on the pitch, but she also has a Masters in Mathematics. Wow. I do not know much about Arsenal women’s lives outside the field, but that seems very unusual for a professional athlete--which may be carrying over assumptions from men’s sports to women’s. Thanks. I will be curious to see how the manager makes the various pieces fit.

A lot of women footballers have degrees or other qualifications. I think it might have been from the time when women's football wasn't pro or was part time. Some got scholarships in the U.S. particularly North Carolina. Of our team. I know that lotte, Russo, pelova, Beth and Viv all have degrees. Not sure about Leah Williamson. But I believe she's sat professional accountancy exams.
